Turning employees into intrapreneurs: implications for a global workplace

Abstract


Contemporary Organizations are finding ways to capitalize on the maximum potential of their employees. Recently the focus of researchers have also shifted towards discovering the ways to enhance the productivity of employees. One of such potentials which companies may capitalized on is the intrapreneurial behavior of employees. Employee while act like entrepreneurs within their organizations are said to be intrapreneurs. The obejctive of this review paper was to clarify the meaning the intrapreneurial behavior, to find out the ways to operationalize the consturct of intrapreneurial behavior, and to review the empirical literaure in this area till date and set the agenda for future research. Finally, authors recommend various areas for further research.
