A Study of Self-Directed Learning Characteristics for Students

Abstract


This research aims to study Self-Directed Learning (SDL) Characteristics for students. Using review of literature. A total of 20 volumes (1975-2014) of review literature were purposively sampled and selected from sources in Thailand and abroad. The covers the review of literature in Thailand and abroad from primary sources.The data were analyzed by using the Content Analysis, while the quantitative data were analyzed by Mean andStandard Deviation. The results indicated that characteristics of Self-Directed Learning were composed of four components, which included Self-Analysis, Self-Regulatory, Self-Evaluation and Self-Reinforcement, and confirm the findings with the specialist’sin which the qualitative data were collected in the next phase.
